We deliver programs that offer compassionate care and support for people facing a life-limiting illness. Contact us by phone or by email using our contact form.
Hospice is focused on life and quality of life, not death. We provide practical and emotional support to residents of Haliburton County in their own homes, in the hospital, in the hospice/palliative suites in the Haliburton Hospital, and in Long-term Care.
All our volunteers are highly trained through Hospice and Palliative Care Ontario to support clients and their loved ones. After the death of a loved one, we can provide one-to-one bereavement support to family members to help them cope with their loss.
Palliative care is delivered by a multidisciplinary team called the Palliative Care Community Team when a diagnosis of a life-limiting illness has been received. The Patient Navigator will work with other members of the Team, Community Programs, and the Central East LHIN Home and Community Care to ensure that clients/families are receiving all the services required to provide the highest quality of life up to, and including, end of life care.
HHHS is proud to offer 2 palliative in-patient beds at the Haliburton site, in the Palliative Care Centre.
